Frank saves Luna Park

ferris-frank“We all know Luna Park’s theme is ‘just for fun’, but if evil Michael Siedler, the architect responsible for more ‘eyesores’ than a stiff westerly breeze, gets his way the new theme will become, ‘just for fun and profit’! The Frank Vincent, Radio Today FM, ‘Save Luna Park’ campaign spearheaded the fight to save the landmark.

When Sydney, radio DJ and House Of Frank host, Frank Movizio learnt of the New South Wales state government’s plan to close Luna Park, he immediately launched a personal protest.

With the support of venue staff Frank jumped on the revolving Giant Ferris Wheel and refused to budge until the government revised it’s plan.

Overwhelming public and media support for Frank’s quest forced the government to promptly reconsider. Four days and 7133 revolutions later, Luna Park was saved. Still to this day Frank is remembered, as the man who saved Luna Park.
