Make Way fa’ Simon Crafar

1998 was a bad year for New Zealand sport, even the mighty All Blacks failed to perform but there was one knight in shining armour…500cc rider Simon Crafar. Smilin’ Simon broke a few records that year and even managed to give the great Mick Doohan a run for his money.

Simon was the man most likely to beat Mick on home soil at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island, inspiring Frank ‘the shadow’ Vincent to spend a day in the life of Simon Crafar.
